I've been published!... Twice!

Thanks to you, loyal and gentle readers - and to all your encouraging and complimentary remarks over the several years that I've been noodling around with this blog - that I worked up the courage to send off an expanded and more closely edited version of the story of my mother-in-law's visit to Ireland with us in 2009.  I sent it to the beautiful and well-written Ireland of the Welcomes, which is published in Dublin and is read by near on two hundred thousand people.  And, lo and behold, the young and charming editor of the magazine, Carissa Casey, saw merit in my scribblings and honored me by publishing the piece in their November/December issue last year.  And, at a very fair rate of compensation...

She honored me again in this year's May/June issue and was kind enough to substantially increase my compensation in recognition of the addition of landscape photos.  I have much material to mine from the eight years of blogging our trips and I hope to have a long and fruitful relationship with this fine magazine.
