A holiday from our holiday, but first - THE BIG NEWS!!!

Candee and I have been anxiously waiting the arrival of our fifth grandchild, and Eryn & Craig's third child, as we have been going about on holiday here in Westport.  Due on the 18th, she has finally arrived on the 29th.  Her parents decided that they wanted to be surprised as to gender, so it is great news to have a second granddaughter - Maggie - join our family!  She joins the fabulous Lillian Grace, and I expect nothing but the same sweet and gentle nature, and immense, bright and curious intellect.  We are a little worried about the red hair potential however, as she joins her ginger brother Grant.  She has two big brothers, so we're sure she'll be well looked after.

A toast to Maggie!  We'll see you at Grant's 2nd birthday party in 10 days time.

Candee and I took a one night trip on Sunday out of Westport, about 35 minutes south, to stay at the Delphi Mountain Resort.  Located right in the heart of Delphi Valley, and very close to Doolough and Sheeffry, the resort and its environs are spectacular.  Upon arrival yesterday afternoon, we sat out on the deck and marveled at the many starkly different presentations the hills and sky can produce mere minutes apart as cloud and sun and shadow and shade of green play innumerable variations upon one another.  Truly stunning, and mesmerizing.  I will let the pictures speak for me.

My apologies, but I must report in to my daughters and sons-in-law concerning any matters relating to food.  Once again, I will let pictures, supplemented by the chef's description, speak for me.  No drooling, please.
