Once again, we made an attempt at conquering Croagh Patrick. Although we did not have great expectations of the weather today, it proved to be mostly fair. Only a brief squall near the summit, and one again as we were close to finishing our climb marred a very nice day on the "Reek." Candee and I climbed much further than we have ever before, but the prize belongs to our good friend Paul, who climbed to the very summit. All in all, we spent 6 hours on St. Patrick's holy mountain. The views are hard to describe, and a photograph is a poor substitute, but I think you can get a general sense of the magnificent vistas that presented themselves. We are sore and tired but filled with a very comfortable feeling of self-satisfaction. We are off to bed.

Further than we ever climbed before (well past the statue, PADRAIC!!!) |

If you look really really hard, you'll see Paul as the tiny yellow speck at the summit. |

Muddy. Bloody. But triumphant! |
