Blessed again
So, off we go again. We leave Orlando airport on Tuesday, June 14 and arrive in Dublin on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. From there, we grab our rental car and head directly back to our favorite little town - Westport in County Mayo. We've rented the apartment in the big stone building again - this time for three weeks. We look forward to the homely pleasures of the town - the farmer's market and the cheese monger, the fresh fish and the freshly baked brown bread, the bluegrass (yes, bluegrass) festival the second week of our arrival and the many wonderful other music venues in the town.
We are especially looking forward to getting together with our good friends, Marion and Padraic Duffy, to catch up on happenings in our personal lives and the cataclysmic changes in Ireland's government and economy since last year. I look forward to Padraic's sage observations about these things.
I'm also looking forward to a few rounds at Westport Golf Club. I need the tuneup for a legendary trip to take place later in the year - a gift from my daughter Eryn and her husband Craig. One of the best foursomes ever - Craig, his dad, Craig's best bud, Daniel and me - all headed to California to play the courses in the Pebble Beach complex (http://theultimateguygolftrip.blogspot.com/)
Next post - Ireland!
