In the routine
In Ireland, at this time of the year, the sun rises at 5:02 a.m. and sets at 9:56 p.m. Plenty of sunlight to have a full day of activities. It does, however, make it challenging to capture pictures of the sunrise or sunset. We’ve mostly been sleeping in, rising most mornings at 9:30, and most nights hitting the bed by 10 or 10:30 after a busy day. These pictures are of the sun setting over Clew Bay, just outside of Westport. I hope to become more industrious and capture some nice sunset images.
Thursday brings the farmer’s market to Westport. We had a lovely homely meal from our purchases at the market. A nice brown soda bread, a fresh cut bouquet, farm fresh lettuce, and two excellent cheeses from Carrowholly Cheeses, an artisan cheese maker located in an area just outside of town. Candee also had a very tasty goat cheese and red pepper tart that we bought at the market. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to purchase the season’s first farm tomatoes and had to resign ourselves to tomatoes from Spain bought at the local Supervalu. We are lazy people.
