Back again to the Emerald Isle

Yes, we are one trick ponies. Once again to Ireland; a small country, but one filled with so many charms.

This time we will be gone for 22 days, flying first into Dublin and then traveling, via motorcar, into the "occupied territories" of Northern Ireland to see some of the beautiful northeastern coast of the island. We will spend three days, two nights touring the Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle (both pictured above), and other attractions of the coast before heading to the bustling, touristy town of Westport on the western, Atlantic Coast. There, we will rent an apartment in a renovated mill downtown (pictured above) for two weeks, enjoying the pub life and traditional music, but also using the town as a base for day trips into the rugged northwest counties of Sligo and Donegal.

I hope to play golf, probably at one of the courses listed in these links: http://oldhead.com/home/index

Both are absolutely gorgeous, Old Head particularly so since it occupies its own peninsula, just south of Kinsale, just south of Cork City. Even if you don't golf, it's worth visiting the website to drink in the beauty of the place.

We will finish off our trip by re-visiting Cork and staying at our favorite bed & breakfast, Garnish House. Please visit the website and make certain you read the menu for their famous "full Irish breakfast" - http://www.garnish.ie/ - truly astounding. We also hope to re-connect with the O'Callaghans and tie more strongly these freshly made family bonds.

I will post as often as I can, probably every other day or so. We appreciate those who follow our blessed journeys. Thanks.
