Sunset on the Sky Road












Back to Clifden and the Sky Road to enjoy the sunset. On the way, we stopped at Clifden Castle, an elegant derelict taken over by foreboding black birds and lush ivy. The shots of the sunset are taken from a scenic overlook several hundred feet above the Atlantic. As I write on Friday morning, we are enveloped by the Irish weather Candee and I remember from two years ago - heavy mist interrupted by periods of driving rain. Nonetheless, we are off to the Cliffs of Moher, hopeful that the weather will clear before we get there. We are shocked by the untimely death of Michael Jackson, but, as Carol says, we are glad to not be in the states for the constant barrage of TV coverage
