In Dublin
After a very tiring trip, we are finally in Dublin. The weather is chilly (only to a couple of Floridians) - about 55 degrees and alternating mist and drizzle - great atmospherics for a trip to the land of Joyce and Yeats. More terrifying than a plane trip over the great waters of the Atlantic were my attempts at negotiating roundabouts, left side of the road driving, and Dublin city traffic. I almost got us killed at least three times (only kidding mom). Although in reality, it will take a little getting used to. After finding our hotel this morning, we took the very convenient city bus into the city centre and got our bearings. Today will be a short day - we are back in our room at 3:45 p.m. Dublin time, with Candee in the shower washing off the dust, dirt, and cobwebs of our long journey. We did, however, buy our tickets for tomorrow's Dublin bus tour and purchased Ireland Heritage passes which will give us access to all the historical sites we hope to visit while here. That's it for now - the shower's become available!
